Let’s Meet Them Where They Are

More often than not, when we ask someone, “How are you?” they answer, “Busy.” And when that answer comes from a mom, it’s not hard to imagine why! There are meals to prepare, children to feed, diapers to change, clothes to wash, errands to run, boo-boos to kiss, tears to dry, disagreements to settle, stories to read, children to drop off, children to pick up—and that could all happen in the span of one morning!

Since moms are so busy, how can we get the gospel into their lives? We meet them where they are. When a mom has a few minutes waiting in the carpool line or during naptime or between appointments, what is she likely doing? Using her phone.

Research shows that the average American mom uses the internet for about 3.5 hours per day, and 93% of moms report using social networking sites. While moms use the internet and social media for a variety of reasons, 83% of moms who were polled said they browse their social media platforms for parenting information, and 80% said they use social media to get support for parenting issues.[1]

Bottom line, moms are on social media and they’re looking for content related to motherhood. There’s no shortage of voices on social media telling moms how to thrive in motherhood and how to raise happy, healthy children. Mom hacks and motivational quotes abound. Influencers offer strategies and products to make motherhood easier. And some of those things are truly helpful. But many of the voices speaking out about motherhood lack the one thing moms need most—the hope of the gospel.

If we want to share gospel hope with busy moms, we need to meet them where we know they are—online and on social media. Risen Motherhood has more than 200,000 social media followers across Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Our website had over 1.6 million pageviews from 614,000 unique visitors last year alone. The Risen Motherhood podcast has more than 9 million downloads with episodes hitting 100,000+ unique downloads within the first few months of release. Moms are connecting with the message of Risen Motherhood.

At Risen Motherhood, our desire is to impact every mom, in every community, for all generations with the hope of the gospel. It’s a big goal, and we can’t do it alone! We’re a crowd-funded nonprofit, which means we rely on the financial support of people like you to produce the podcast episodes, articles, and social media content that’s reaching moms in 206 countries around the world with gospel-hope.

Right now, we’re in the midst of our Fall Pledge Drive. Would you join us as a monthly donor or make a gift to help us reach even more moms with the gospel? The consistent support of our monthly donors sustains our daily ministry and allows us to continue providing gospel-content to moms everywhere—for free! When you partner with us, you make it possible for any mom, anywhere in the world to access all of RM’s content without cost.

And when a mom encounters the gospel and comes to know Christ, it doesn’t stop with her. She begins teaching it to her children and sharing it with her husband. She shares it with her neighbor next door, her friend at work, her fellow moms in the PTA—and before long whole communities are impacted by the gospel.

Help us reach even more moms by giving today. Together we can bring gospel-hope to every mom, in every community, for all generations.
